Floor Fan Noise
Free fan noise online: the steady low hum of a real floor fan, looping seamlessly. The sound many people grew up falling asleep to.

Fan noise is the most familiar household white noise: a motor’s low hum plus the air moved by the blades, steady and unchanging, covering the small sounds in a room. Many people can only sleep with a fan running and miss it when the season changes.
This is a real floor-fan recording (Freesound, CC0) that Sleep Island edited into a seamless loop. It sits lower than synthesized white noise and sounds more like a real room; for something deeper, try Brown Noise.
The web player loops the current preview audio. Choose a timer from 15 minutes to 2 hours, or keep it looping; timed playback fades out gently. The timer sets your listening session, not the original track length.
