Brown Noise for Sleep

Brown noise (also called Brownian or red noise) puts most of its energy in the low frequencies. It sounds like distant surf or the rumble inside an airplane cabin: much deeper than white noise, without the hiss. People use it to cover low-pitched noise such as footsteps upstairs, air conditioning or traffic, or to shut out distractions while studying and working. The tracks below are synthesized by Sleep Island and loop seamlessly all night in your browser; if it feels too muffled, try pink noise, and for something brighter, white noise.
